Fire Cancels HEROES for Me

Sorry, guys, but there'll be no HEROES gab tonight. I'm visiting SoCal right now and, as you probably know, there are some extremely bad fires going on. Unfortunately, we're on evacuation watch because things are not getting better. The winds are ridiculous and humidity is really low--great conditions to feed and spread fires. So far, over 500 homes have been destroyed, and we can thank an utter lack of precipitation this year for such a disaster. (Thanks, nature--you rock!)

If I have an Internet connection tomorrow, I'll pop back in and hopefully tell you everything is okay....

Thank you, Selena. :) We're still safe, but the winds are still unpredictable. They're not sure when they're going to let up enough to cut the firefighters more of a break.

Sending you "safe" vibes and prayers..

Did you get a chance to watch Heroes and can't post? I would do it for you, but you do it so well. I think my husband said it all, though.

Hubby: "Didn't that girl have her own show?"

Me: "Yeah. But it was cancelled."

Hubby: "I didn't like her then. I sure as hell don't want to see her on HERE."

LOL. As for me, well, if someone could kill Sylar and Matt's father one fell swoop, I would ever be so happy.

Hey, Celise!
Thank you, too. :)
Update: everything seems better. We didn't have to evacuate, and it looks like the winds are dying down, which is allowing the firefighters to contain some of these rages. If the weather cooperates (pray for a miracle like rain?), things should improve even more.

I really appreciate you guys checking in. : )

I haven't even gotten to watch HEROES yet. I've tried to access the site, but the clip isn't available in my area. (Bah.) But if you'd like to do a recap, that would be GREAT!!! I'd love it, and I know you'd do an amazing job (way better than my silly notes, LOL. But thank you for your compliment!). Wanna go for it? I already love the dialogue between you and your husbands, although I hope Kristen Bell more!

Oh, Chris! I just read this! I'm so sorry to hear that the fires are so close to you. :( That totally sucks.

We're heading into bushfire season around here. Every year, around the X-Mas season, there's some fire going on somewhere around here. It's awful, and scary. I really hope that you stay safe, please keep us posted!

Oh, and I finished reading THE ULTIMATE BITE over the weekend! OMG. It was awesome! I loved it. Man, I can't wait to read Edward's story. I totally LOVED that angle. You're so awesome!

Take care and I'll speak to you later. :)

Hi, checking in to see how you're doing. Sending You Big Hugs.

Hey, Y and Selena! Things are looking better here, although when I last heard, none of the fires had been fully contained yet. Today the Santa Ana winds are supposed to let up, so that should help.... Thanks so much for checking in. It's much appreciated!

And, Y, thanks re: THE ULTIMATE BITE! I'm nearing the end of Edward's story right now, even though it's not easy to keep my mind on it, you know? But I suppose going into that world offers a little bit of escape.
Also, I hope you guys don't have to deal with any fires.... :)

Thanks again, you all!

Chris, where are you exactly? I have been watching the trajectory of the fires and have been praying for your safety and the safety of everyone affected. Please let us know when you are out of there. I'm also praying for the safety, courage and fortitude of our hunky firefighters.

Just checking in and sending you more hugs. :-D. Oh, do you want any Heroes scoop?

Karm and Nicole! Thanks so much. Right now, I'm in Carmel Creek, just off the 5 and south of 56. I was near San Carlos, but I feel better here. Looks like they're going more into the recovery phase, even though containment still isn't 100% (who knows when it will be?). Lots of people without homes. Unbelievable.

Karm, big love to those hunky firfighters. They are AWESOME.

Nicole, any HEROES scoop would be greatly appreciated! What did you think? I heard the eppie was pretty good. Can't wait to see Kristen Bell, but again, I heard her first appearance was underwhelming....

I liked the episode I can't really remember much, sorry, so much has been going on in my head. lol. But I was excited to see Kristen Bell, my friends didn't understand why I was so excited, lol. Anyway, she was great, we got what I think is just a glimpse of her character and her powers.

Okay, Heroes scoop: (Warning Spoilers! Do Not Read unless you want to know)HRG is going to Russia to look for Isaacs last six paitings. D.L. didn't die from that bullet! Clair and Elle (K.B.
) meet. We find out what happened to Peter in the sky when he seemed to explode and he and Caitlin go one year into the future. We also find out about the incident that made Maya and Alejandro fugitives.

There you go Heroes scoop.

Oh, Yoda is on a stamp now. :-).

Hey, Nicole (and I'll be catching up on email soon!),
Awesome scoop, so thank you! I can't wait to see how KB fits into everything, and I'm eagerly awaiting that "Four Months Ago" episode. Many, many questions--especially about Peter surviving the explosion.

Love the Yoda stamp!

:-D. You're Welcome. Oh, a good place to go for recap is:

I almost forgot about her recaps. :-). She also does spoilers and scoop too. I can't wait to see "Four Months Ago" too. I can't wait to find out about how Peter ended up with that symbol around his neck. I want to know the orgins of it, it seems very important. I adore Yoda, do you think they'd give the Ewoks their own stamp? LOL, just kidding, although . . . lol. Hugs.

Crystal Green's Blog said...

Hey, Nicole! I'll have to check out that recap because the episode still isn't coming through on the NBC site....
And Ewok stamps would be classic.
