Another STAR WARS Funny

I guess I've had my head buried under the ground, because I've never seen this video before. But when I heard that there was a record of some cute little three year old girl giving the run down of A NEW HOPE's plot, I was there.

The signy guy always worries. Heh.

I'm an aspiring adult romance/erotica writer and I noticed that you write for Harlequin Blaze. That's my favorite division. I was wondering, do you have to have an agent to submit to them?

LOL. OMG that's funny. I forgot you were a Star Wars fiend. I need to pass this on the freaks at the Garrison my hubby's a member of.

Hi, linkan! Thanks for the Blaze kudos--I love reading those books, too, even when I'm not writing them. Harlequin/Silhouette *doesn't* require an agent for submissions, but in general, authors are of two minds on the subject. Many say that an agent will get your manuscript read faster, and if it's purchased, he/she can take care of business while the author takes care of the writing. But there are others who say that 15% is a lot to pay for a contract that doesn't offer a lot of wiggle room (unlike other publishing houses). The bottom line is that you can write a query letter to a Blaze editor (Brenda Chin is the senior editor) without an agent.
If you're interested in my agency, here's a Web page with some really good information:
I hope this helps, and good luck!!!

Celise! Hope your hubby likes the video, LOL.
